Jesleigh |
|
Bio
Jesleigh, short for Jessica Leigh,
is a native of Arizona. She was born
in Scottsdale and raised in the Northwest
valley. From the very beginning, music
was a love for Jesleigh. Both of her
parents exposed her to R&B, Jazz,
Christian pop, and Rock & Roll.
Artists such as Carol king, Oleta
Adams, The Eagles, Simon and Garfunkle,
Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye were
some of the sounds she heard growing
up.
All throughout childhood into adolescense,
Jesleigh was involved with music.
Whether it was a school, church choir,
or community theatre, there has always
been an outlet for singing, dancing,
and acting. She also began writing
songs and choreographing as early
as age nine. Her mother Deb Herrmann,
also a resident of Glendale, AZ kept
Jesleigh in piano, flute and dance
lessons. Her parents were hugely supportive
in keeping her active in the arts.
This enthusiasm for music and performing
continued into high school.
Jesleigh attended Apollo HS in Glendale.
There she was extremely active in
their theatre program for all four
years. Although she was an avid student,
the traditional expectation of going
to a university was not for her. Jesleigh
wanted a career to support herself
while she pursued her music. The next
four years, she went to trade school,
becoming a paramedical aesthetician
and sharpened her skills as a makeup
artist. She worked in the medical
field, wellness, cosmetics, the spa
industry, and even modeled. Trying
to find contentment, she was still
writing her songs and poetry, but
felt distant from the career as a
recording artist she dreamt of when
she was a little girl.
At age twenty-one, Jesleigh began
exploring the nightlife in Scottsdale.
She found many people who were interested
in her talent, but nothing ever panned-out.
This was until a good friend introduced
her to her future manager, David Hinojosa
with Skyy Entertainment. Within one
week of meeting David, Jesleigh was
in the studio in L.A., working with
multi-platinum and gold writers and
producers. This is the same team (B&B
Entertainment) that wrote and produced
her first single, “Be My Boyfriend”.
She also had the opportunity to work
with “Mo Pleasure” of
Earth Wind and Fire fame. He’s
worked with legendary and contemporary
artists including Janet Jackson.
When Jesleigh’s manager David
played her vocals for Mo Pleasure,
he asked her to record a song with
some of those legendary artists. The
song called “We Are One”,
collaborates the talents of Michael
McDonald, Oleta Adams, Sheena Easton,
Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind, and
Fire, and of course Jesleigh. Mo Pleasure
was so happy with her performance
on the track that he’s offering
to include her in future projects.
Mo has asked Jesleigh to write new
songs with him as well.
So you’re probably asking yourself
where you can hear Jesleigh and her
debut single “Be My Boyfriend”.
She performed her song live for the
first time with the Zowie Bowie Band
at Barcelona in North Scottsdale September
13th, then again on the 20th. Future
performances in Arizona will be featured
at CBNC, The Buzz, and Jackson’s
on 3rd. Locally their show can be
heard weeknights at ten p.m. on 104.7
KISSFM. Listen and request the song
on the popular R&B, Hip Hop stations
in the valley. Jesleigh and her dancers
will also be presented at the kick
off of comedian Alex Thomas’
new show on UPN, The Talent Agency
October 5th in L.A.
The things most aspiring artists
are in search of for years has been
placed graciously in her hands in
a swift two months. Jesleigh has been
blessed, and she’s ready for
the opportunity. With all her manager's
vast resources and connections with
artists and industry professionals,
it seems the future Jesleigh is certain
for success.

Alison Dawn |
| |
Bio
Alison Dawn’s love of music
began at a young age. Inspired by
the albums of such great artists as
Whitney Houston, Bette Midler, and
countless others, she soon took to
the microphone on her first karaoke
machine when she was eight years old.
Performing immediately became a love
of hers, whether it was dancing, singing,
or acting.
Alison began professionally training
her voice when she was 13 and participated
in classical choir, show choir, Regional
choirs and All-State Show Choir. She
performed in the classical solo and
ensemble festival and received superior
rankings each year. The capstone of
her high school performing career
was with a girls-only a cappella group
consisting of seven of the school’s
finest singers. The group, Girls Night
Out, was regularly booked for local
events and performed in television
commercials.
After high school, Alison decided
to pursue music while also attending
Arizona State University. During her
tenure at ASU, Alison has participated
in several performance projects. She
has been in several local bands of
varying styles and has performed her
original music locally. She has also
worked as a studio vocalist on several
projects.
Following her experiences as part
of a larger group or band, Alison
decided to focus her efforts on a
solo career. This was achieved by
working with Everett Ross-Harwood,
a recording artist, professional musician,
producer and songwriter. Together
they co-wrote and recorded Alison’s
seven-song demo. They continue to
work together on new material.
After the completion of her demo,
Everett introduced Alison to David
Hinojosa of Skyy Entertainment who
took her under his wing and became
her manager. David is an experienced
industry professional who has dedicated
great amounts of time and effort to
further the careers of new independent
artists. Since then, David has introduced
Alison to top recording industry professionals
and has helped her network in the
music business. Alison was given the
great opportunity to contribute backup
vocals to Morris Pleasure’s
solo album through David. Alison hopes
to continue writing, recording and
performing and to build her career
in music.
